Bhayangkara Mural Safari as a Critique Channel
Police Headquarters held a Bhayangkara Mural Safari at BSD Xtreme Park, South Tangerang. This exhibition was held as an event to socialize to the public about mural art.
The Head of the Multimedia Bureau of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Muharrom Riyadi, said that the exhibition of the Bhayangkara Mural Safari works was a follow-up to the 2021 Bhayangkara Mural Festival of the National Police Cup. "Their work is good and recognized," he said. The exhibition is a collaboration between the Police and the Tempo Media Group and Sinarmas Land. The event was held to provide a space of expression for mural artists. According to Muharrom, this mural art exhibition is also an instruction from the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to accommodate the creativity of mural artists. Not only that, activities that provide a platform for artists are also aimed at reducing the tension between mural artists and the state apparatus. During the Covid-19 pandemic, there was an impression of a chase between mural artists and the Civil Service Satpol. “One BSD is engaged in the field of self-reliance, MSME economy, health and peace. We consider the mural as a community that we can collaborate with to enter the Satu BSD platform," said Sinarmas Land's Corporate Communication & Public Affairs Division Head, Panji Himawan.
