Government Moves Quickly to Revise Regulations

The two-year time limit given by the Constitutional Court to revise Law Number 11 of 2020
concerning Job Creation has made the government seek to move quickly to complete the revision of regulations governing the formation of laws and regulations. To follow up on the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK), the government and the House of Representatives (DPR) have agreed to revise Law Number 12 of 2011 concerning the Establishment of Legislations (PPP). The second amendment bill to Law No. 12/2011 was ratified as a DPR initiative bill at a plenary meeting. The DPR has not yet submitted the proposal for the discussion of the PPP Bill to the government. Head of the National Legal Planning Center of the National Legal Development Agency of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Djoko Pudjirahardjo said that the government will make an inventory list of problems (DIM) of the PPP Bill after the DPR officially submits a proposal to the government. The Director of Harmonization of Legislation I Directorate General of PP Kemenkumham Roberia added, if the DPR's letter has been received, the President will assign the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) to discuss it with the relevant ministers. After that, the President will submit a letter of approval for the discussion to the DPR
